Kitchen Fitters in Southend-on-Sea

Fitting a kitchen is the part where a good design either comes together or doesn't. Units need to sit level on floors that rarely are, worktops need scribing to walls that aren't straight, and the whole thing has to line up when it's finished. Our fitters work across Southend-on-Sea and the surrounding Essex towns.

What our fitting service covers

A kitchen fit is more than screwing cabinets to a wall. Here's what's involved on a typical job.

Stripping out the old kitchen

Existing units, worktops and appliances removed and taken away, with services capped off safely before anything comes out.

Preparing the space

Walls and floors checked for level and square before the first cabinet goes in, because everything after that depends on it.

Fitting cabinets and units

Carcasses levelled, fixed and aligned, with doors and drawers adjusted so gaps are consistent across the run.

Worktops

Templated, cut and fitted, including cut-outs for sinks and hobs, with joints and edges finished properly.

Appliances, sink and taps

Integrated appliances fitted into their housings and connected, sink and taps installed and tested.

Finishing

End panels, plinths, cornice, pelmet and trims fitted, handles fitted, everything adjusted and the space left clean.

Kitchen fitting

Already bought your kitchen?

Plenty of people buy their kitchen from a national supplier and then need someone to fit it. That's a job we're happy to take on.

We'll fit kitchens supplied by the main high street and trade retailers. Send over your plan and unit list and we'll tell you what the fitting will involve and what it'll cost, before you commit to anything.

One thing worth knowing: when we fit someone else's kitchen, we're responsible for the fitting, not the contents of the boxes. If units arrive damaged, short or wrong, that's between you and your supplier. We'll flag anything we spot as early as we can so it can be sorted before it holds the job up.

Plumbing, electrics and everything else

Most kitchen installations need a plumber and an electrician at some point, whether that's moving a sink, adding sockets or connecting appliances. We work with trades we use regularly and coordinate them around the fitting schedule, so you're not chasing separate contractors or working out who's supposed to turn up when.

How long a kitchen fit takes

A straightforward replacement - same layout, no structural changes - usually takes 7-10 days on site. Jobs that involve moving services, changing the layout or new flooring run longer, typically 12-15 days.

We'll give you a schedule with the quote, so you know which days you'll be without a kitchen and when you'll have it back.

What kitchen fitting costs

Fitting costs depend on the size of the kitchen, how much needs stripping out, and whether services are moving. We quote per job rather than working to a standard rate, so the figure you get reflects what's actually involved rather than an average.

Send over your plans, or let us come and look at the space, and we'll put a written quote together.
